Authentication Center (AC) which is one of the elements in the ANSI-41 network supports subscriber authentication and encryption in the mobile network by using authentication keys and algorithms. Authentication is performed by using the related authentication keys and algorithms for each access of the handset to the network or according to the defined frequency or conditions. AC not only blocks simple services but also determines and monitors the security policies based on the authentication result.
