Over-The-Air(OTA) provides a method of distributing new software updates, roaming information updates and activating mobile service to new mobile phones through SMS. OTA allows the transfer of small text files containing instructions such as subscription activation, roaming data updates, multimedia service activation/update, and WAP setting. Remote registration of new mobile phone over the wireless network without visiting a local reseller is possible.
