Access Network - Authentication, Authorization, Accounting (AN-AAA) retrieves necessary information from the access network and performs authentication, authorization, and accounting when the system receives a service request from access terminal.

AN-AAA interworks with the Access Network Controller (ANC) of the old network in compliance with TIA/EIA IS-878 standard that defines CDMA2000 access network interface, and AN-AAA work with each other in compliance with the RADIUS protocol defined in RFC 2865 and 2866.
