Policy Decision Function (PDF) provides service-based QoS policies. PDF interworks with AF, a logical element of the P-CSCF, to receive service-related information. It authorizes QoS policy based on this received information. The PDF provides authorized QoS policies upon the request of a PEP such as ACR or GGSN.
