WLAN Access Gateway (WAG)/Packet Data Gateway (PDG) supports interworking between WLAN and 3GPP on 3G network. It enables all terminals in wired IP network, cable IP network, and private network to access to the service provider network. Telcoware WAG/PDG supports 3GPP-to-WLAN interworking specifications defined in 3GPP Release 6 as well as all features of WAG and PDG.

WAG
- Routes the data exchanged with the access network to provide 3GPP PS-based services for terminal, and performs security including packet filtering.
PDG
- Authenticates subscriber and subscriber's authorities. Provides IPsec tunneling, and protects user traffic. Allocates the IP and performs service billing.

Authentication and terminal verification through AAA inter-working.
Security features
- IPSec ESP packet filtering
- IPSec tunnel setting through IKEv2 key-exchange protocol
- virus pattern and intrusion detection
- DDOS attach prevention
- traffic monitoring
PDG selection : Selection of one PDG out of multiple PDGs.
NA(P)T : Reverse NA(P)T when PDG is in a private network.
IP address allocation and management: Allocation of remote IPs and IPv6 address system.
Mobile IP support: FA and IPv6 mobility
Billing by inter-working with an external online/offline billing system.
Compliance with international standards: RFC 3588 and EAP-related RFC, and 3GPP
High-quality traffic monitoring using MIPS and virus detection
Configuration based on ATCA
