Media Server(MS) processes media in the circuit network. MS processes calls using ISUP or SIGTRAN according to the characteristics of the network and receives/transmits the voice data through 64kbps E1. MS processes the tone and the DTMF data, and functions as a basic Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
MS consists of control server and media server. Control server processes calls and controls the media processing features and the media server processes the media data. The interface between control server and media server is MEGACO.
