Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) is a standardization institute for the synchronous CDMA communication. 3GPP2 was established in January 1999, and its members include five national standardization agencies – TIA (of the US), TTC/ARIB (of Japan), TTA (of Korea), and CCSA (of China.) The goal of 3GPP2 is to define international standard for CDMA2000 synchronous systems and the evolution systems. As of 2006, 90 manufacturers are the members of the 3GPP2. Korea is one of early members of 3GPP2, and as of 2006, SK Telecom, KTF, LG Telecom, Samsung Electronics, and Telcoware are members actively participating in the standardization activities.

Telcoware started to develop systems and solutions for CDMA circuit core network such as Home Location Register (HLR), Authentication Center (AC), and intelligent network solutions in 2000. Currently Telcoware possesses advanced level of technologies in the fields such as IMS, PDSN, and the packet core network of 3GPP2.
As a leading core network solution provider, Telcoware has been actively participating in the standardization activities to take the global leadership in the core network area. At 3GPP2, Telcoware focuses on the TSG-X (group for standardization of core network).

PDSN & Evolutionary Packet Network
The importance of packet network and the demand for technological improvement and evolution are growing with the evolution of the mobile communication services and the network. Because the next-generation network will require much more efficient packet core network than the current one, Telcoware is actively participating in the related standardization activities.

IMS & VCC
MS is the core of next-generation IP network. Telcoware is participating in 3GPP2 IMS standardization activities based on its technologies in the IMS field, and is leading the convergence of 3GPP2-based services and networks through the standardization of Voice Call Continuity (VCC).
